Prove you wrote it.
Draftproof records how your writing actually got made — every keystroke, pause, rewrite and source — and turns it into a shareable Draft Record. When a client's AI detector flags your work, send a link instead of an argument.
Free to start, no card. The record stays on your machine until you publish it.

What detectors measure
Detectors score word predictability, not authorship.
What the vendors know
Turnitin suppresses its own 1–19% band — too many false positives.
What it costs you
Your invoice is the thing on the line.
The artefact
This is what your client opens.
A Draft Record is a document, not a dashboard. It shows the shape of the work — when it was written, what was typed, what was pasted, what you had open — and it can be checked by someone who has never heard of us.

That week is the story. Not the strategy deck that came after it. We rebuilt the narrative around that admission, because a pivot nobody admits to reads as drift. The proof runs underneath it: eleven interviews, four of them with customers who left.

Recorded only for the document being drafted, and only while the add-on was switched on.

Timestamped by an independent authority at seal time. Change one character of the draft and this hash no longer matches — anyone can check it without an account.
Opens the real record — no sign-in, nothing to install.
How it works
Three steps, and one of them is just writing.
- 01
Write like you always do
Switch the Google Docs add-on on for a document and forget about it. It keeps the record on your own machine, for that document only — no background watching, nothing sent anywhere.
Google Docs · Word in testing · Draftproof editor
- 02
Publish the Draft Record when you want it
Nothing is published automatically. When a piece is questioned — or when you want the receipt on file — you seal that document's record and Draftproof mints the link.
Publishing is always an explicit act
- 03
Send one link instead of an argument
Your client sees the drafting timeline, the sources, and a hash they can check themselves. The conversation moves from how the words feel to how the work was made.

Plainly
What we don't claim.
We don't detect AI. Nobody reliably can.
Every tool that says otherwise is scoring how predictable your sentences are. That is not the same question as who wrote them.
We don't sell a “100% human” badge — that claim breaks the moment you spellcheck.
Purity tests fail on contact with real work: grammar tools, translation, an editor's tracked change, a research assistant.
We record how the work was made and who made the calls. That's it.
Timeline, revisions, sources, and a seal anyone can verify. Evidence you can hand over, not a verdict we invented.
It is a smaller promise than the detectors make. It is also the only one that holds up when someone pushes back on it.
Questions
The ones writers actually ask.
Something missing? Write to us and we'll answer it here.
Does this work if I used AI for research?
Yes, and it is the case we designed for. Draftproof is not an AI ban — it is a record of process. The timeline shows what you had open, what you typed, and what you pasted, so you can point at the exact places a tool helped and the far larger stretch where the judgment was yours.
Can a Draft Record be faked or back-dated?
When you publish, the record is sealed with a SHA-256 content hash and timestamped by an independent authority. Anyone can recompute that hash from the published record without an account. Alter a word after the seal and it stops matching, visibly. We can't quietly re-date a record either — the timestamp isn't ours to issue.
Do you see my writing?
Not unless you publish it. The add-on keeps the record on your machine, for the one document you switched it on for. Nothing is uploaded in the background, and there is no dashboard where we watch you work. Publishing is a deliberate act, one document at a time, and you can revoke a published link whenever you want.
What if my client won't look at the link?
Some won't, at first. The record page opens with a one-paragraph summary a non-technical reader can act on — hours, sessions, revisions, sources — before any of the detail. If it still stalls, a Dispute Pack gets you a certified summary written for the person signing off, plus a direct response to the detector score they're holding.
Does it work in Word?
Google Docs and the Draftproof editor today. A Word add-in is in testing with a small group of writers — leave your email on the waitlist and we'll tell you when it's real rather than when it's announced.
Record your next draft. Argue never again.
Three records a month, free. Switch it on before you write the first line — the record you need is the one you started early.
